Steps to Protect Microsoft Account
A) Set recovery email (Necessary)
1. Sign in your microsoft account at Microsoft.com.
2. Go to my microsoft account.
3. Go to security.
4. Go to two-step verification.
5. Make sure that you have your email details here.
6. Click here if you would like to set your recovery email.
7. Update your recovery email accordingly.
B) Set recovery phone (Necessary)
1. Make sure that you have your phone details here.
2. Click here if you would like to set your recovery phone.
3. Update your recovery phone accordingly.
C) Set two-step verification (Optional)
1. Go to manage two-step verification.
2. Click next.
3. Select either email address or phone number, and click get it now.
